What this forum needs, is fugues! Lots and lots of 'em. On a more serious note, though, maybe a section dedicated to fugue techniques under Music/Composer resources would be nice. Preetty pleease?

I was kidding about the "lots of fugues" part. But I'm (at least half-)serious about the section dedicated to fugal techniques. For one thing, it will help keep the fugues confined to their own corner, rather than splattered all over as if this forum were all about them. Then the fugue people like myself, GX, and Mike would be able to play in our own little corner without bothering the rest of you anti-fugue types.

Done. As I said though, I'd like to avoid different forms and styles in their own corners - ideally no posting of fugues far from the general posting area. Techniques and discussion fine, of course. But otherwise should I have a section just for sacred SATB? Baroque quartets? etc etc. I don't think I should. There'll be some spillover but avoiding hiding genres away - even at their own request - I'm less happy with. I was kidding about the "lots of fugues" part. Point taken. I suppose it's harmless to have fugue-related resources mixed in with other resources, if you think it's better for preventing balkanization. Feel free to undo the fugue-specific section if you wish, and move the stuff I posted there to a more general section.

I'll see. I think it's ok for techniques, and we know for a fact fugues are popular so... Point taken.
