Really fun to listen to! Your orchestration captures the spirit of the Spanish guitar. Beautifully done! I also liked becoming familiar with the score -while the great Alicia de Larrocha gave her rendering - to understand better your orchestral choices.. Thanks for posting, John!

Thanks, G! I didn't realize until orchestrating it how episodic it is. That is one of the trickier parts of orchestrating it, I think--making the different musics within it sound unified in an orchestral context.

Upon second listening, I did find it less of a transcription , and more just a piece MADE FOR orchestra! Yes, very episodic. The transitions from one little 'movement' to another- very effective! There is a chamber quality to the orchestration which I liked very much, although the full sound of the orchestra to great dramatic effect at about 2:45.. Wonderful climax! Yes, and I think it all holds together very well as a unified musical statement - orchestrally. Loved it!
