I had a thought . . . contests for new music might have to wait for a bit, but I'm thinking once enough of us have posted finished music it's easy to do a poll, and then the winner gets the honour of being pinned somewhere prominent for a week or two. What say? Any similar ideas?

Sure, give it a try. Why not? Could be something to put in a frontpage sidebar that somebody mentioned.

Yes... and a beginner could video chat or blog about it if it was a strictly classical fugue under the upload limit, or alternatively, they could simply jump to the last post for inspiration... assuming there were nothing in the side bar. (You know I'm always here to help)

Dave Dexter: I see the new experimental sidebar you added... something seems off with it; in my browser it's pushing the main content off the left edge of the browser window, which makes it a bit awkward to navigate. And the sidebar itself bleeds past the right edge of the browser window, so that only half of it is visible. Maybe some tweaking of the sidebar width is needed?
