Very nice and a fitting coda! Definitely made me think of the Fall (although it's still a bit warm here...). How are you managing the publication?

Thanks, John! I've not ventured too far on publication, yet. I really like Hal Leonard - but found they do not accept new composition - .. I do have a website, and can sell it there.. Still working out the cover art, and probably send it to MTAC - all those teachers using the traditional (and full of gaps) method books.. Funny thing, I have been using this book quite a bit since the onset of COVID. It is perfectly suited for online lessons - w all the annotations, and methods of practicing - general and specific. Yes, so next step is finding out more about publishing. Thanks for asking!

What's the website?
BTW, one of my best friends has a daughter who is 4 and they just got a family piano in the house. They think she's not quite there yet for lessons (easily distracted plus COVID, of course). Is there anything you recommend for a child that young? Her parents are somewhat musical, so wouldn't be at a complete loss working with her on fairly simple stuff...

Yes, age 4 is quite young, and I have had a few students who started at 3, - where their whole family was taking lessons - so there was that context - but those were in-person lessons, of course. What I would recommend - for material - would be my book - as it starts from absolute scratch, w everything explained.. Being that young, probably the first 3 chapters would be most suited.. If I were to teach her, that is what we would use.. Currently, I send the parents a file for a whole chapter - (no charge for chapters in the book at this time)- and for that age, I recommend a parent to sit in on the lesson so they are aware, and taking the journey with them - until the child gets in their groove. Each child is different - some are ready at age 4, some aren't ready even at age 7 or 8. It depends on how engaged they are in the process - and focus ability.. I do try to make the lessons fun. A book Ive used - long ago, which was OK, is www.amazon.com/WP230-Piano-Young-Beginner-Primer/dp/0849793173 They could start there, w/o me, and see how it goes. My website is gregoryharrismusic.com - though it needs to be more worked out.. My son is going to help me finish it up, and my family assures me - as it sits now, that it is really lacking in visual interest - so . But at the moment Im caught up, and haven't been to the site, so wouldn't know if there is a message or inquiry there.. If they would like to contact me, my email would be best, and we could take it from there. I think you have my gmail, yes?
