Hey everybody,
Just heard a work of mine written a while back, "Big brAss Suite" will be getting a premier performance by the "Music City Brass Ensemble" in Nashville, TN on 10/21. (21/10 for you guys across the pond!)
They will also be performing it the following week at the Nashville Symphony's "Free Day of Music".
They're going to try and get me a recording, so I'll post it when I can.
Tim
I did have to change the name to "Four Miniatures for Brass." Some got the pun!

I hope you will share the recording when you get it. Nashville is a very cool, music-loving city (all kinds). I was there last year and we had a blast. Especially loved the hot chicken...

Thanks guys! Funny thing is this is one of those works I didn't think would ever see a live player. It's for an expanded brass choir, almost brass band type scoring and yet...
Yeah, Nashville is a great city. I've also been a couple times and contrary to popular belief, there's a LOT more than C&W happening. The food's good, too.
I'll definitely post the recording when I get it.

Thanks Dave. I entered the piece in a contest on Kevin's site and one of his guest judges was a publisher He knew. The piece was picked up by him and I have since placed a few others, but neither he nor I were sure of any success with this one. Most of his catalog is smaller brass ensemble works(trios, qtet etc.) About a week ago he got a call from the ensemble requesting program notes and the rest as they say...
