Two types of people: those looking for help with whatever tools they have whether Notation app or DAW
and: those with the experience in using these tools offering advice on getting the best from them.
First up is: those here who haven't left or been barred from that other place pointing people wishing to learn about or pass on knowledge about 'stuff' in this direction.
I'm reminded of an earlier admin there, a certain Mr Hughes who actually invited folks joining there and wanting to talk about multi media music they should join another forum.
Anyway, excuse me for even mentioning that place other than for grabbing folks attention.

What I like to talk about: if bassoons blend well with horns, what's your secret orchestration weapon for a great colour, what did I get wrong in b1-999 What they like to talk about: what's your favourite just-for-fun topic! oops, we're so light-hearted! NO ARGUING
So yeah, any dual-citizen members who want to encourage some overspill to here where it's less about which frequencies are disapproved of by the universe and more about Actually Doing Music, please do!

as if it is not possible to talk about a million different things in the same forum... Not really, unfortunately. The topics of "craft knowledge and self-improvement are essential to developing as a composer" and "learning craft will damage your inner voice, just be you!" are irreconcilable. And this is a composer forum, not a metaphysical musing forum, so I don't see why anything unrelated to this pretty specific field should be encouraged - especially as most of us have seen the kind of drivel that leads to! Why, mysterious stranger, what would you like to talk about?

I would like to talk (or at least read) about music and philosophy, as they can't be separated. But actually I'm too busy right now trying to remind christians that Mary and Joseph were migrants who smuggled a child, and gotta go now.

I would like to talk (or at least read) about music and philosophy, as they can't be separated. Sure they can. I do it all the time. But as I said, that really isn't the vibe here.
