I've spent time revisiting a number of works for concert band and came across these two videos of Frederick Fennel with the US Navy band. The first vid is rather long (about 2 1/2 hrs.), but it's a fascinating look into his rehearsal of the piece. The second one is his full performance of the piece after the rehearsal. He originally recorded the piece with the Eastman Wind Ensemble on what I believe was there first album and it became the standard for how the piece should be played.
Some background on the videos, they were done in the mid eighties after Fennel's edition of the score came out and were used to show his interpretation of the work. He spent much time with Grainger discussing the piece, so his interpretation is about as close as can be to Grainger's intent. What makes the edition so unique is that it's the first time anyone created a full score of the work. Grainger did nothing but condensed scores and then orchestrated when writing out the parts. Needless to say, many mistakes were incorporated into the first editions of the piece and there have been many papers written on the various errata in the work.
For those who are unfamiliar with Lincolnshire, it's considered by many to be his ultimate work, and was actually written for the military/concert band. Many of his other works he reorchestrated for various ensembles including band.
I've also linked to another video that scrolls the score. Not sure who the performers are.
