Just an idea that occurred to me. I don't specifically desire a blog section, but thought it might be a way of increasing interaction between members along the lines of "I'm working on awesome piece XYZ" or "Today I got inspired by ABC while trying to solve musical problem PQR", when somebody may not necessarily have a finished piece to post in the critique section, or not even a WIP in a state that one may want to inflict upon the general public just yet.
Or is this best left to the general music / general non-music discussion sections?

I think maybe there's a case for a "work in progress" - some music doesn't fit into either being finished, or wanting critique. Sometimes you just want to announce what you're doing because it's interesting before you even need or want feedback. If I'm slowly planning a large orchestral session (which I am) then that too doesn't qualify for musical feedback but organisational tips. "Blog" is a bit vague, and since it's a composing forum first that kind of thing could fit into general discussion I think? What say? Just an idea that occurred to me. Sure, sounds good to me. As you said elsewhere - adding too many sections this early in the forum's life may be detrimental to its growth.
