Thanks for mentioning this, Ray. (I'm definitely looking for strings)..It seems that 'adagietto' only offers 'sordino' as an alternative technique.. Do you know of another decent (and reasonably priced) set of string samples that also offer - sul tasto, ponticello, col legno, spiccato, etc..? I wonder what you think of Aria sounds London Symphonic Strings Violin II ?

Many of the less expensive choices do not work on the free player. The more choices in articulation tend to raise the bar on price.

"Many of the less expensive choices do not work on the free player. The more choices in articulation tend to raise the bar on price." Thanks, Ray.. I figured as much. And for the better choices, I'm certain the system reqrtmnts. would exceed my current OX - 10.7 … so, much more investment involved..
Thanks, John. It seems there was much care involved in making the spitfire…and the solo strings would do me fine.. (but again, the system needed exceeds mine) It is strange to me that Note Performer (which I have) Does have sul tasto., pont. etc… but I find the samples not so attractive… but I'm trying to work w it…
Thanks for responding guys.. Soon I'll have to get another computer.

I have some of them, but have not used them fully yet so can't comment, but for the price they seem good. link
EDIT.. As luck would have it, I've just received an email from them advertising a sale.....
