Thanks for lessening Mikeā¦But one Must not separate the opening 1'20" from what follows! (of course it is a 'set-up') Im now taking a stand - No more fugues! (it seems other pieces just cannot compete:) HS, John, perhaps after sussing out who holds crown of the 6th, we might turn to another (all time favorite) Shost's 5th (my vote is Berstein

Are you alright, Gregorio? You seem to be having a lot of typing issues!

Yes, this is awful.. Too much espresso.. (it double posted cuz i doubled clicked, and could only edit it down to a dot! .. plus my fumbling yesterday John, i was curious, as you've mentioned doing orchestral renderings for others as a business endeavor (which i think is great, and may have to call upon your expertise!) , have you tried or considered using the EWI as a way of manipulating articulation? Im thinking of getting one, and wondering if this could be a realistic short cut, to apply to many VST instruments. EWI is basically an electronic sax w sound patches, (which can apply, i think, to Other sound patches as well) Although i do play sax somewhat, it can also plug into the keyboard -and use it as a breath controller, not only for wind and brass.

No, I don't use controllers at all. I do all the MIDI data manipulation in Finale (which sends the data to Cubase real-time where my VSTs/reverb/etc are housed). But it sounds cool, especially if you play a wind instrument, it should come as second nature! I think Rodney does that, if you wanted to ask him his opinion, I am SURE he would share it.

Mike Hewer: lol, so I'm not the only one with a fugue obsession around here, I see.
